Festiva Maxima refers to the ‘early white’ peony which buds open to reveal a bright red spot at its centre. What better inspiration for an exhibition of vessels hand-crafted to hold bright, bountiful bunches of new-season peonies?
Perhaps it was the festive season – or maybe the lush, summery vibe of these delicious blooms. It prompted us to team up with our friends at Mount Macedon Peonies and 12 renowned Australian artists to present our final show for 2019, Festiva Maxima.
