Azure Aquamarine: March's Birthstone

Celebrated for its calming blue tones, reminiscent of serene seas, March's birthstone is the beautiful Aquamarine.

With a name originating from the Latin terms "aqua," meaning water, and "marina," meaning the sea, ancient cultures and civilisations long associated these gemstones with the oceans divine inhabitants. Aquamarines were thought to be treasures from the mermaids' underwater realm, imbued with powerful protective properties that could safeguard seafarers from any danger they might encounter on their journeys. Sailors would often wear or carry aquamarine amulets, talismans and jewellery to protect them during their voyages.
